Math Activity of the Month

Create your own Counting Book

    Materials: Construction paper stickers or stampers stapler or hole punch, string:
  • Take construction paper and fold it in half to make a book
  • Staple the pages together or use a hole punch & string to tie the pages together
  • Write the numbers and number words on each page
  • Have your child write the numbers and number words on each page as you learn about those numbers
  • Have your child place a stamp or sticker to correspond with the number on each page (Ex: #3- 3 stamps or stickers)
  • After the book is complete, review counting and one-to-one correspondence with your child

    Make your own playdough!!
  • 2 cups Flour
  • 1/3 cup Oil
  • 1 cup Salt
  • 1 cup Water
  • Mix all of the ingredients together. Add any flavor Kool-aid to have a different color playdough
