WAYS YOU CAN HELP AT HEAD START

In the Classroom

• Child directed play
• Read or tell a story
• Work closely with one child
• Play a game
• Talk with a child
• Baby sit for another parent so that they can volunteer for Head Start
• Get materials ready to use for a project
• Play a musical instrument
• Lead a parade
• Give another parent a ride
• Help write, type or draw for the Head Starter, the family newsletter
• Repair toys, books, and other equipment
• Sanitize toys
• Help during tooth brushing time
• Help supervise on the playground
